Is there a Life360 alternative without detailed location history?
Yes. FledgeNow provides location-based family safety features without maintaining a detailed location history.
FledgeNow retains only a member's most-recent location. When a new location is saved, it replaces the previous location.
Notification history can still provide information about meaningful events, such as trip completions and saved-place arrivals, without retaining the route traveled between those locations.
Can I know when my child reaches a destination without following their trip on a map?
Yes. Family Nest automatically detects when a trip starts and ends, and family members can receive a notification when the trip begins and when it is completed, along with the trip-end location.
This allows family members to know that a trip has ended without needing to follow the trip's movement on a map.
Do I need to create a saved place for every destination?
No. Family Nest can detect trip completion even when the destination wasn't configured as a saved place beforehand.

What is a FledgeNow Safety Check?
Safety Check is a Family Nest feature that gives you an on-demand hazard snapshot for one location — a family member's current location, or any address you enter. Instead of just a map pin, it overlays that spot with multi-agency data (where coverage exists) so you can see what may be happening around them. It is a momentary snapshot, not continuous monitoring, and it does not store the place you checked or the results.
Each Safety Check can surface:
- Flood & water — FEMA flood-zone designations, nearby river/stream gauges, and related water-model context where available.
- Weather & winter conditions — National Weather Service alerts, plus snow, ice, wind, and extreme-cold context when relevant.
- Wildfire activity — NASA FIRMS satellite fire detections.
- Roads & local incidents — road closures and other safety incidents from open-data sources, where available.

Can I check an address before someone travels?
Yes. You can run a Safety Check on any address — not just a member's current location.
Check a destination before anyone leaves, or a parent's neighborhood during a storm. Today Safety Check evaluates that single location (not every point along a driving route). It works even if no one else has joined FledgeNow yet.
Does Life360 have something like Safety Check?
Life360 helps with where people are, and some plans include severe-weather alerts, SOS, crash detection, or disaster-response add-ons. FledgeNow's Safety Check is a different product idea: an on-demand, multi-hazard snapshot for one exact location.

Yes. Friends Circle members can see each other's shared locations.
